NEW TV SERIES: PRORODEO'S "40 NIGHTS OF NFR"
TO AIR EXCLUSIVELY ON THE COWBOY CHANNEL
The Cowboy Channel has announced that the network will broadcast 40 nights continuously of the last four years (2016-2019) of the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) starting Friday, March 20, at 8 PM/ET and running through April 28 (repeat airings will be at midnight/ET). This will bring fans more than 120 hours of rodeo coverage that has only ever been seen on CBS Sports once before. “40 Nights of NFR” will give fans a chance to relive some of their favorite, most recent NFR moments and see some of the greatest athletes in the world take home the coveted gold buckle.
“I think we are all still trying to come to grips with what has transpired in the last couple of weeks,” said Jeff Medders, President and General Manager of The Cowboy Channel. “It seems like every day we are faced with a new challenge. Here at The Cowboy Channel we are striving to keep our viewers informed and entertained. We are excited to provide an escape in these tough times, and what would be better than ‘40 Nights of NFR’. We will start with Round #1 in 2016 and work our way to Round #10 last December. Our hopes are that when we hit night 40, the challenges we are facing will have begun to subside, and we will all be energized and ready for the summer rodeo season.”
Daily programming for The Cowboy Channel will continue with Western Sports Round-Up (WSR) LIVE Monday – Friday at 6 PM/ET (repeating at 7 PM/ET). After WSR The Cowboy Channel will lead into “40 Nights of the NFR” coverage at 8 PM/ET (repeat airings at midnight/ET).
“We’re excited to have The Cowboy Channel offer rodeo fans 40 nights of the National Finals Rodeo,” PRCA CEO George Taylor said. “This is a great opportunity for fans new and old to relive the passion of recent NFRs.”
