OKLAHOMA MAN PLEADS GUILTY, LEFT OF LIVESTOCK

  *** TSCRA PRESS RELEASE *** OKLAHOMA MAN PLEADS GUILTY, AGREES TO PAY $57,000 RESTITUTION Robert Ray Snow signed a guilty plea to multiple cattle thefts dating back to 2015 June 16, Robert Ray Snow, age 49, pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree felony theft of livestock in Wood County. Snow, a resident of Garvin, Oklahoma, signed a guilty plea for five years deferred adjudication probation, payment of court costs and $57,983.74 in restitution to Winnsboro Livestock & Dairy Auction. Snow was charged after he failed to make payments and issued bad checks for multiple cattle purchases at an auction September 2015 through March 2016. The previous prosecutor halted the case due to Snow filing bankruptcy.  Upon taking office in 2019, District Attorney Angela Albers reviewed legal statutes and lawfully renewed the prosecution of Snow. NRCHA APPROVES COWBOY CLASS TO BEGIN IN 2023

  ** MEDIA PRESS RELEASE ** The National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) has voted and approved implementing rules for the Cowboy Class for the 2022 Snaffle Bit Futurity ® and in the 2023 NRCHA   Rule Book . The Cowboy Class introduces working ranch cowboys to the reined cow horse. Beginning in 2023, the Cowboy Class will be a recognized class, and local affiliates and show producers will be allowed to host these classes at their approved NRCHA events. It will be recognized as a sanctioned Category 1 special event, similar to the all-around and spectacular classes. “Reined cow horse grew from training methods used on ranches by the Vaqueros.  * * PRESS RELEASE * * Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping on tap for Nov. 29-30 Event will take place at South Point in Las Vegas The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association announced in a press release that the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping will take place at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Nov. 29-30. The Top 15 breakaway ropers will compete for prize money of $250,000 during the two-day, 10-round performance. “I'm pleased to see the continued success and growth of breakaway roping since the inaugural National Finals Breakaway Roping in 2020,” PRCA CEO Tom Glause said. "Breakaway roping has experienced rapid growth and it is now featured at over 300 PRCA rodeos annually. This success has resulted in an increase of prize money at the NFBR to reach $250,000."
