--Announcement Unveils WCRA’s Expanded Points Format--     World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) and ALL-IN Barrel Race and Breakaway are proud to announce they have aligned for the December 2019 ALL-IN Barrel Race and Breakaway event in Las Vegas.   This alliance announcement is a continued  effort to  expand  opportunities for rodeo athletes around the globe. The collaboration between the two organizations will give barrel racers and breakaway ropers the chance to nominate and earn competition and consolation points. WCRA’s alignment with the event will maximizes athletes’ efforts to possibly compete in one of WCRA’s $500,000 semi-finals events and possibly move onto a one-day $1,000,000 major rodeo. This Alliance event will also serve as a “sneak peak” to WCRA’s 2020 Expanded Points. Does Today's Local Rodeo Still Draw A Crowd? In December Las Vegas, Nevada turns into a rodeo town when the National Finals Rodeo kicks off. There are many equine and rodeo event in Las Vegas during the  year, but nothing like what happens in December. From endless shopping to daily events then in the evening it's live NFR rodeo action, followed by endless after parties. The town is packed with fans of the western way of life. How is you local hometown rodeo standing the test of time? Many small town rodeo arena's  are for sale, overgrown and becoming part of folklore history.  Think back to the days before technology took over maybe the 70's or '80's when you waited all year long for the summer rodeo to come to town. The towns folk from surrounding towns would all join in and pack the stands setting on the edge of there seat with every ride.  Local hometown rodeo's are struggling and it's up to you the rodeo fan's to change that.

Arkansas man faces 382 criminal charges after multi-state investigation                                  Jay Lee Parker   An investigation by special rangers of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) and investigators with the Arkansas Agriculture Department has resulted in 382 criminal charges against an Arkansas man. Jay Lee Parker, 43, of Waldron, Arkansas, surrendered to the Leflore County Sheriff’s Office Oct. 9, 2019, on one of the 382 counts — knowingly receiving stolen property (cattle). Upon his surrender, he was booked into the Leflore County Jail and later released on a $30,000 bond. Special Ranger Bart Perrier led TSCRA’s portion of the investigation with the assistance of fellow Special Ranger Kenneth Wadsworth. Greenville Texas man arrested for local cattle theft                       George Lewis Brigham George Lewis Brigham, 45, of Greenville, Texas, was arrested Oct. 7, 2019. Brigham is charged with third-degree felony theft of livestock. The arrest and charges are the results of an investigation by Special Ranger Troy McKinney of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) and the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office. The case began in July when a rancher contacted the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office to report that several of his cows were sold without his permission. McKinney joined the investigation in August at the request of the sheriff’s office. Brigham allegedly gathered three cows and took them to the Cattleman Livestock Commission in Paris, where they were sold in his own name. According to the victim, he hired Brigham to do some work on the ranch, but never gave him permission to sell the cattle. Brigham collected the payment of more than $1,400 for the s

Pawnee man charged with stealing $15k in saddles and tack Augustus Sioux May Augustus Sioux May, 20, of Pawnee, was arrested Sept. 19, 2019, and booked into the Payne County Jail. He is charged with one count of burglary in the second degree and one count of receiving or knowingly concealing stolen property. The arrest and charges are the results of a joint investigation by the Payne County Sheriff’s Office and special rangers of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA). The investigation began Sept. 10, 2019, when a victim contacted the sheriff’s office to report the burglary of his barn in rural Payne County.
