RODEO AUSTIN TO HOST 2nd ANNUAL BBQ AUSTIN EVENT

 BBQ Austin, presented by Miller Lite, will take place March 3-4, 2017 at the Travis County Exposition Center.

BBQ Austin will feature a sanctioned BBQ cook-off with nearly 100 entries competing for the title of “BBQ Austin Grand Champion.” Attendees will be able to enjoy a variety of free BBQ samples from competing teams including ribs, chicken, beans and traditional sides.

BBQ Austin also includes live music on the Outdoor Stage and Austin’s largest carnival for guests to enjoy. There will be two live concerts on Friday and four live concerts on Saturday including headliners, Charlie Robison and Kyle Park.  

Cowboy Breakfast will kick off the two-day BBQ Austin event and the 15-day Fair & Rodeo beginning on March 11 through March 25, 2017.

Fairgrounds admission is $8 for adults and $5 for kids. Carnival wristbands may be purchased in advance online or at the event. Parking will be $15 at the gate. Tickets to BBQ Austin can be purchased at www.RodeoAustin.com or at the event.  

Proceeds from BBQ Austin go toward Rodeo Austin’s mission of Promoting Youth Education – Preserving Western Heritage. In 2016, Rodeo Austin awarded nearly $2 million to the youth of Texas.
