Eduardo Aparecido in front of Sold-Out Crowd in Sacramento CA at Golden 1 Center Dominates 15/15 Bucking Battle


 In front of a sold-out crowd, Eduardo Aparecido (Gouvelandia, Brazil) rode his way to victory in the 15/15 Bucking Battle at the Professional Bull Riders Frontier Communications Sacramento Clash Saturday night at Golden 1 Center. 
 

Aparecido rode Jack Shot (D&H Cattle Company/David Huffman) for 90.25 points to win the special round. It was Aparecido’s first 90-point ride since 2015 and secured him 150 points toward the world standings along with $7,000.

2016 World Champion Cooper Davis (Jasper, Texas) continued his hot streak by finishing second in the special round. Davis covered Cooper Tires Brown Sugar (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve) for 89.5 points and picked up an extra 90 points toward the world standings along with a $5,000 payout.

Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba, Brazil), Mike Lee (Paradise, Texas) and Chase Outlaw (Hamburg, Arkansas) all tied for third place in the 15/15 Bucking Battle after identical 87-point rides. Pacheco covered Chocolate Shake (D&H Cattle Company) while Lee and Outlaw reached 8 seconds on American Hustle (D&H Cattle Company/Leflore) and Big Cat (Dakota Rodeo/Struve/Berger/Heald) respectively. The trio each picked up 60 points toward the world standings and $3,000.


Earlier in the evening, Gage Gay (Staley, North Carolina) rode The Kraken (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve) for 89 points to win Round 2 of the Sacramento Clash. The ride was Gay’s highest score this season and it secured him 100 points toward the world standings and $3,580.

Canadian Dakota Buttar (Kindersley, Canada) was not far behind, riding Sketchy Bob (D&H Cattle Company/Flinn) for 88.25 points Saturday night. Buttar picked up 60 points toward the world standings and $2,750 for the effort.

Davis finished in third place in Round 2 after an 88-point trip aboard Lil Brute (D&H Cattle Company/Buck Cattle Company). In total, Davis earned 140 points toward the world standings and $7,000 Saturday night.

Outlaw also earned points in Round 2 when he covered Mortimer (Julio Moreno Bucking Bulls) for 87.5 points. Outlaw secured 40 points toward the world standings and $1,300 for placing fourth in the round.

Stetson Lawrence (Trenton, North Dakota) rounded out the Top 5 courtesy of an 87.25-point ride on Captain Jack (Julio Moreno Bucking Bulls). Lawrence earned 30 world points and $850. ~PBR Media
