Equest to Offer Horsemanship 101 Workshop
Free to Veterans

Equest’s Hooves for Heroes veterans’ program is hosting a day of Horsemanship 101 for veterans, active duty military members, and their families for free on Sunday, December 8th from 1 PM to 4 PM at Equest at Texas Horse Park 811 Pemberton Hill Road, #4, Dallas, Texas, 75217.

The day of H101 is designed to let participants sample different programs that Equest offers. There will be several stations each focusing on a different program area such as Equine Facilitated Counseling through herd behavior observation, horsemanship, Equine Assisted Learning through grooming, and more.

Equest’s Hooves for Heroes program seeks to empower veterans and military families to take charge of their civilian transitions. Thanks to generous grant funding, charitable donations and underwriting, the veterans program services are offered at no cost to active duty service personnel, members of the Guard or Reserve, or any veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and their immediate family members.
