First Saddle Bronc Rider since 1936 to win back-to-back titles at CFD
Cheyenne native, cowboy Brody Cress rode Smith, Harper & Morgan's Midnight Cowboy into history at the 122nd Cheyenne Frontier Days, when he became the first saddle bronc rider since 1936 to win back-to-back titles. Cress goes into history as the first back-to-back winner since Turk Greenough accomplished the feat in 1935 and 36.

"
You know, it’s a blessing to be able to ride in front of so many people who helped me get to where I’m at, being able to repay them and represent them as good as I can, as well as representing this rodeo all over the world. To be able to come here, with how much history there is behind it and how hard it is to win this rodeo, it’s definitely a blessing to be able to come here do it a second time.”

Brody Cress, Back-To-Back
CFD Saddle Bronc Champion

This isn't the first time Cress carved his name in the history books. In the summer of 2017, Cress became the first cowboy in the sport of rodeo to win Salinas, Cheyenne and Pendleton, all in the same season. He went on to be crowned the Reserve World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider at the PRCA Wrangler National Finals in the same season. Cress is currently sitting second in the world standings right behind Jacobs Crawley and is poised to be a contender for the 2018 world championship.    ~ Lonestar Media
