Twilight Zone Yellowstone Mashup? What are you watching? 

 

Something I often asked viewers and we discuss on the talk show, “what are you watching on Netflix”? This time we jumped over to Amazon Tv to checkout a new series called Outer Range. The series stars Josh Brolin whose real-life daughter played a barrel racer on Yellowstone. This series is a western sci-fi but so far there is still a lot of mystery to what’s happening. I don’t want to get into too much detail at this time since the series just started and you might want to catch it.

With the series Yellowstone then 1883 dominating the tv world the rest of the show creators are looking to cash in. The way that Yellowstone blew up goes to show that cowboys and manly men are
still in demand on screen. Many saying that Hollywood had gone soft and woke but the truth is in the numbers. 

 There is a run of movies and tv series looking strike gold with a western based show. I’ve been keeping up with them a watching to see what they have to offer and the latest series to kick off is Outer Ranger 2 episodes in. This series id set up north on a large ranch where a land battle is taking place, somebody killed, body dumped, and a stranger showed up to the ranch sound familiar?

I’m not much of a sci-fi watcher, but I do like a good western based show, so I’ll give it a season and see where it goes. With all western’s it hard not to pick apart the small inaccuracies with the writing, cattle, and rodeo lingo. I really chuckled at the failed drug test at the rodeo comment, see if you catch it too. Still early to say what is happening on the ranch so you have to wonder are we looking at multiple dimensions, time travel, or just a good Ol cowboy twilight zone.  - Pepper Stewart
