2020 Snaffle Bit Futurity in Ft. Worth Texas has sure caused a stir on the intrawebnet with a banner on the fence.

Most of the horses competing in the hackamore class got spooked by the Yellowstone banner on the fence. Many of the horse got low or no score, so the show officials wanted to take it down and give the riders a do over.....

Banner stayed up and Taylor Sheridan (one of the creators of Yellowstone) who is at the show doing some filming announced that the banner would stay up and he would pay the first-place money to all the competitors in the class. That is $13K each for a total of $181,000.00 is that good marketing or rewarding failure? What about the horses who competed and did not spook at the banner, should they all be rewarded equally?

When you train and haul horses for a living competing in different arenas across the USA you must be ready for any environment. This has been a hot topic across most of social media with a split reactions. There are a lot of people saying this is a great marketing ploy because we are all talking about in the horse world and in the media. The other half are saying it comes down to your training program and having your horses ready for any obstacles they come upon during competition.  ~ Pepper Stewart
