Mixing bluegrass tradition with dusty desert cool, the country music trio Runaway June, will be performing the opening ceremony for RFD-TV's The American, presented by Dish on Sunday, February 25, 2018.
Natural and effortless in feel, Naomi Cooke, Hannah Mulholland and Jennifer Wayne of Runaway June bring a modern take lyrically to the roots of country music, as their sound is rooted in the past, their stories are of the here and now. All felt pulled to “runaway” from their homes and toward their dreams, the band will take the stage to perform at RFD-TV's The American, which allows qualifiers the opportunity to compete against top invitees to chase their very own "American Dream."
