If The Wall Could Talk, What Would They Say?

On our most recent trip to England once again we rented a car and traveled the country.
With the wife being major fan history we do not take the guided tours we make our own.
Over the couple weeks we see plenty of sites on the beaten path and a few that are in remote locations. Historic sites are everywhere on the side of the roadways and even in pastures which may seem odd to the USA, but many sheep and cow pasture are open to the public.

England Trip 2016

I often said why take a trip across the ocean when you can just google and see these places online? While I thought it was the best
choice, oh was I wrong. There is nothing like seeing these sites in person that date as far back as the Vikings and Roman times in history, it's like time traveling. Although you kinda do time travel being that the UK is 6 hours ahead of Texas time and after the 10hr flight it takes a day to adjust to the difference.
During our traveled we stayed in a Castle, random hotels, guest houses on farms that were sites to see themselves.
While you walk around the historic Churches, Abbey's, and Castles you think of all the events that took place on those locations and try to picture what it would have looked originally.

Pictures are worth a thousand words and since I'm not typing that many I'll add a few pictures to make up the difference. If you ever have the opportunity to make the UK trip, do it and you will be glad you did.
We have some video's online and in the process of putting together the recent trip too. ~ Pepper Stewart
