Do Rodeo Fans Actually Support The Sport?
With multiple associations, lawsuits and controversy do rodeo fans still support the sport?
In today's time social media takes the forefront in advertising, why just think the amount of time spent staring at your phone during the day. Companies have gotten wise to the trends and have found ways to gain advertising numbers with a simple post of : like, share, and tags friends to win. Simple but effective these contest and giveaways put companies in front of more like minded people than the random newspaper and TV ad. Think of a horse product companies post then you tag your horse friends, now you are hitting your target audience as they repeat.
One of the many things I speak about during my social media talks to the people is promotion and censoring yourself for potential sponsors. Everyone has opinions on lots of hot topics, but is that what your fans want to see? Ranting about politics, religion, and relationship issues is not want your fans what to see daily. You have to know that in the social media world you are seen by those in and out of the rodeo industry. Companies take a risk when you are asked to represent a product in a positive way. It becomes your job to put the products in view of your followers and maintain a professional appearance.
Enough of the fluff lets get to the numbers and see where you fit in with a few simple questions : When the local rodeo is in town do you go? When you watch rodeo on TV do you buy the product you see on the arena fence? When your favorite athlete thanks their sponsors do you pay attention? It runs from tools, house hold products, vehicles, to the clothes on your back. Do you actually support the sport or thought you did. Pay attention to what you purchase and do they sponsor rodeo or western events? Prime example is while buying some DEF fluid for my truck I noticed the store brand was $4 cheaper than the Blue DEF so what did I do... I supported the sport and got the Blue DEF who sponsors the PBR. That $4 don't seem like much but that's what keep the Tour rolling to a city near you. Take a minute look around and see if you are supporting the sport or just think you do... ~ Pepper Stewart

I most certainly support sponsors of my favorite rodeo events. Love Cinch and Cinch events. But what about if the event is disappointing? Does that chnage your mind?
