PBR PARTNERS WITH BILL PICKETT INVITATIONAL RODEO

* * MEDIA RELEASE * *   New Events, Opportunities and Exposure Planned as BPIR creates “new history”   Professional Bull Riders and the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo  have announced a partnership to create new events and opportunities for the largest and longest-running rodeo celebrating Black cowboys. PBR, the world’s leading bull-riding organization, will co-produce and co-market BPIR events that will take place alongside competition in PBR’s top two U.S. tours in select markets. Coryell County man behind bars in felony cattle theft case

        * * MEDIA RELEASE * * Coryell County man behind bars in felony cattle theft case James Anthony “Tony” Manning, 36, turned himself in to the Coryell County Jail Monday on two counts of theft of livestock, according to Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Special Ranger Marvin Wills. Both counts are third-degree felonies.  Wills said Manning was a day worker for the victim, who ranches in Coryell County. On two occasions, Manning delivered cattle to public livestock markets, at the direction of his client. Each time, he consigned part of the cattle in his own name without the owner’s permission or knowledge. The Coryell County criminal investigation department assisted Wills in the investigation. Manning is in the Coryell County Jail on two $10,000 bonds set by Justice of the Peace Coy Latham. The suspect also faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and felon in possession of a firearm. These charges are being handled by the Coryell County Sheriff’s D

  Equest’s 40 th  Anniversary Gala: Celebrating 40 Years of Horse Power   2021 commemorates Equest’s 40 th  year of providing life-changing achievements for children and adults with special needs through the human-horse connection.  Equest’s 40 th  Anniversary Gala: Celebrating 40 Years of Horse Power  will not only pay tribute to the past and present but will look towards the future of Equest. This year, the anniversary gala will be combined with the annual Boots & Salutes fundraiser for one smashing evening on Saturday, June 5, 2021, 6:00 to 11:00 p.m., at its newest facility, the Al Hill, Jr. Arena, at Equest at Texas Horse Park.   Led by Co-Chairs Lisa and Kendall Laughlin and Katherine and Austin Wyker, the powerfully passionate and vibrant committee will infuse the next level of Southern charm, food, style, and entertainment to the gala.
